West Nancy Creek Drive Emergency Bridge/Road Closure, a URA Project

West Nancy Creek Bridge Open to Traffic

WEST NANCY CREEK BRIDGE – UPDATE: 1/17/24:   PROJECT COMPLETED AND CLOSED.

On July 1, 2022, the West Nancy Creek Bridge, 1200 Block of W. Nancy Creek Drive, was closed by the Georgia Department of Transportation, who, at the time,  discovered severe structural issues with the bridge while conducting a routine inspection. Since that time, the bridge has been closed to both vehicles and pedestrians for life/safety issues and the time required to allow for selection of an engineer and contractor, proper design, and procurement of required materials, some of which had to be manufactured.

This project started, in earnest, on April 3, 2023. Updates occur on this website as they become available.
