Apple Valley Road NE Sidewalk – from the Dresden Pointe development to E. Osborne Road NE

Apple Valley Road NE Sidewalk Project

This project will construct a continuous 8-foot-wide multi-use sidewalk (approximately 1,300 linear feet) on the eastern side of Apple Valley Road NE from the end of the existing sidewalk at the Dresden Pointe development to East Osborne Road.  The project will include the installation of pedestrian lighting in accordance with the Brookhaven-Peachtree Overlay District guidelines. 

Funding Source: This project is funded by the City’s Special Service District millage rate.

Status Update (February 9, 2024):  The project is currently in the design phase of development. The design work is approximately 40% and is on hold until preliminary discussions are completed with utility providers to potentially relocate aerial utilities to underground along the corridor.

The design work is approximately 40% complete and is anticipated to be complete by the summer. Preliminary discussions are ongoing with utility providers to potentially relocate aerial utilities to underground.
