Brookhaven begins maintenance work at the Murphey Candler Spillway

Brookhaven, GA, July 20, 2018—The Brookhaven Public Works Department and contractors from Site Engineering are conducting maintenance at the Murphey Candler Spillway site.

Over the next several weeks, workers will be clearing shrubs and other vegetation, performing minor concrete resurfacing, and conducting site inspections.  During this time, it is expected that the work will have minimal impact on the activities of park visitors, although when the concrete work begins, the sidewalk at the spillway may be closed for a few days.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we tend to the routine maintenance of our existing infrastructure, said Public Works Director Hari Karikaran.
