Brookhaven approves funding for Municipal Maintenance Yard

Brookhaven, GA, July 24, 2018 – The Brookhaven City Council unanimously approved a contract in the amount of $113,690 with Pro Building System to establish a Public Works and Parks Maintenance Yard.

The yard will be located at 1793 Briarwood Road, and eliminate the need to store Public Works equipment at the current location at Osborne Park.

“I want to thank the residents in the Lynwood community for their patience as the City has worked through our equipment-storage issue,” said District 1 Councilmember Linley Jones.  “We have always said Osborne Park was a temporary arrangement, and we are making good on our promise to return Osborne Park back to its natural state.”

Construction of the new yard will begin in approximately three weeks, and completed in less than five weeks, weather permitting.  City equipment will be moved to the new facility before Sept. 15.
