4202 Long Branch Court Storm Sewer Culvert Repair

Long Branch Court Storm Sewer Repair

Update 8/18/23

Construction Progress - Completed, May 16, 2023

Background

This system is on a list of failing metal drainage pipes under roadways scheduled for resurfacing in the 2024 Street Paving Lists. Field assessments of the stormwater infrastructure at this location determined the culvert and curb inlets were not candidates for trenchless rehabilitation and required open-cut replacement.   The 30" CMP under Long Branch Court was heavily corroded and holes were present along the invert.

The rehabilitation work scope will be as follows:

  • Replacement of the 30” CMP culvert under the roadway with 30" reinforced concrete pipe (RCP),
  • Replacement of  two (2) curb inlet structures on both sides of the roadway,
  • Installation of a concrete patch and asphalt resurfacing over the storm sewer excavation work
