3188 Lanier Drive Storm Drainage Improvements

3188 Lanier Drive Completed

3018 LANIER DR STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT -  COMPLETED

Construction Progress - Storm sewer pipe replacement, structures, concrete gutter, structure throats and roadway patch completed, July 21st.

Background

Project Description: Lanier Drive routinely floods because the storm drainage system is sized too small. This project includes enlarging the existing pipe and replacing the curb inlets along Lanier Drive. 2022 maintenance activities discovered multiple pipe failures between street and outfall, making it necessary to replace the drainage system at 3188 Lanier Drive. Rehabilitation / replacement of the following assets were done to complete the storm driange improvement:

  • Tree/vegetation removal and restoration;
  • Reconstruct two junction boxes;
  • Reconstruct downstream outfall and add headwall (with energy dissipation);
  • Replace four curb inlets along Lanier Drive;
  • Enlarge 75 feet of 12” to 15” RCP underneath Lanier Drive; and
  • Enlarge an estimated 220 feet of 15” pipe downgradient of Lanier Drive.
