Master Plan Progress

Upgrading parks and offering more recreation opportunities was a major focus of Brookhaven becoming a city in 2012. To that end, the Brookhaven City Council in 2014 approved the Comprehensive Parks & Recreation Master Plan following a series of public input meetings. To enhance the Comprehensive Parks Master Plan and to provide further detail, Site Specific Master Park Plans for each individual park in the city of Brookhaven were completed in February 2016.

Work is now complete for Georgian Hills Park Phase I, Clack's Corner, Skyland Park, and Murphey Candler Park Open Space Field:

Completed Georgian Hills Park Phase I projects include: picnic shelter; open space field with Bermuda grass and irrigation system; playground; 1/10 of a mile walking trail; outdoor half-court basketball court; sidewalk and entrance to park off Clairmont Road.
