Planning Map Peachtree Creek Greenway

Going Places

The City of Brookhaven’s 3 mile Peachtree Creek Greenway multi-use trail is a section of the larger proposed 12.3-mile North Fork Peachtree Creek Trail that is envisioned to link to the wider Atlanta trail system.  Phase I, opened in December 2019 is the working model for the entirety of the project. On the west it will link to the City of Atlanta at the confluence of the north and south forks of historical Peachtree Creek joining the Atlanta Beltline, PATH 400 and the SouthFork Conservancy Trails.  As the north fork heads north east, the Trail will follow. The map above is a planning vision for the built-out multi-use trail traversing he Cities of Atlanta, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Doraville, and unincorporated DeKalb County. For specific planning documents, please visit the specific municipality. Every day, the region is moving forward with this exciting plan to connect our communities.

The north fork of Peachtree Creek is an urban waterway that is part of the Chattahoochee River Watershed.  It joins the sough fork just over the Brookhaven border in Atlanta to form the mighty and historically significant Peachtree Creek. Through the efforts of municipal planning and conservation groups the Creek is receiving long overdue revitalization through this project, the joint Brookhaven and Chamblee North Fork Peachtree Creek Watershed Improvement Plan, and multiple community volunteer groups who schedule regular clean-ups and nature walks in order to bring attention to the natural and living beauty of the Creek.
