Peachtree Creek Greenway

Brookhaven Peachtree Creek Greenway Phase I Bicyclists

Connecting our Community and Beyond

The Peachtree Creek Greenway is the City of Brookhaven’s 3-mile section of the proposed 12.3-mile North Fork Peachtree Creek multi-use trail linking to the major Metropolitan Atlanta Regional Trail systems, and providing last mile connectivity to transit, centers of employment, and passive green space for the densely populated Buford Highway corridor. Please take a moment to learn more about this transformative project, here, with our introductory video.

Phase I stretches from North Druid Hills Road west to Briarwood Road.  Engineered and built by the PATH Foundation, it opened to regional acclaim on Dec. 12, 2019 and immediately became known as  the "model mile" for each of the four municipalities--Atlanta, Brookhaven, Chamblee, and Doraville--working to complete the full Greenway. Brookhaven's Phase II will begin at the Atlanta city line, connecting the Atlanta Beltline, Path 400 and the South Fork Conservancy Trails to the North Druid Hills Road trailhead. Phase III will begin at Briarwood Road and continue to the Chamblee city line where it will connect with that city's extension.

The Greenway is both active and passive, featuring a paved trail for bicycling, walking, or running with links to residential and commercial properties easily accessible to all. Set against the waters of the north fork of Peachtree Creek, the trail promotes engagement with the natural environment celebrating and bringing focus to land conservation efforts and improving environmental quality.  The Greenway provides residents with close-to-home and close-to-work access to bicycle and pedestrian trails, serves transportation, transit, and recreation needs It serves as a community gathering spot, supporting both improved quality of life, and sustainable economic growth.

As one of Georgia's premiere Welcoming Cities, Brookhaven looks forward to connecting our community to our neighbors and to all of Georgia through the regions growing multi-use trail system.  We hope you enjoy your visit to the Greenway and look forward to seeing you soon.
