Property Retrieval Information
The Brookhaven Police Department manages a large variety and volume of property items. These items are secured and classified as either evidence, safekeeping, or found property. Suppose the Brookhaven Police Department is in possession of your property and you would like to retrieve it. Need For Retrieval
- You must present a Brookhaven Police Department case number
- You must present a yellow copy of the property and evidence receipt (if you are provided with one).
- If using a power of attorney, it must be an original copy.
Firearm Retrieval
An appointment is required. A criminal history check will be performed before release. NO EXCEPTIONS!
The return of a firearm requires the presentation of a proper Bill of Sale or receipt.
