NEWS RELEASE

Brookhaven, GA. March 19, 2024 –

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Brookhaven Police is committed to delivering top-notch service and fostering positive interactions with the Brookhaven community. With PowerEngage, the Brookhaven Police are taking that dedication to the next level by actively seeking feedback from those it serves.

Throughout February, Brookhaven Police has used automated text messages to contact those who have reached out for police services, soliciting valuable feedback through short text surveys.

Chief Brandon Gurley, “I'm thrilled to introduce our latest innovation in community engagement: PowerEngage (Formerly CueHit), our new community survey platform.  I am incredibly proud to share that our customer satisfaction rate stands at an outstanding 96% for the month.”

“Getting the feedback from the people we serve is one of the underpinnings of the Sustainable Brookhaven program which focuses on civic governance,” said City Manager Christian Sigman. “In the course of providing the best police service possible, feedback after the case is closed is very useful to achieve that goal.”

Here are just a few examples of the comments provided by callers after their interactions with Brookhaven Police officers.

"Very professional, humane, and quick to solve problems!"
"Officer response time was very quick. Very courteous and did a great job."
"Officer Betancourt was super helpful! Waiting to work with him through the weekend to wrap up the investigation."

Chief Gurley further stated, “These comments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and they inspire us to continue striving for excellence in everything we do.  We scroll these messages in real-time on a monitor in our roll call room as they come into us. We are excited for the positive impact we are seeing in officers as they read what their community is saying about them.”

Mayor John Park said, “In public safety, we can never be complacent and remain with the status quo.  We have to continue to be innovative and improve our service delivery whenever and wherever possible.  This is a tool that gets us more information we can use to be better stewards of the public trust.”
