Brookhaven Police Arrest Shooter Involved in Road Rage Incident

Brookhaven GA, May 8, 2022-
Brookhaven, GA. May 8, 2022- On 05/08/2022, at approximately 1353 hours, Brookhaven Police responded to the intersection of Peachtree Road and N Druid Hills Road in reference to reports of shots fired. While officers were responding to the initial 9-1-1 call, they received a second 9-1-1 call in reference to a person shot at Dresden Drive and Ellijay Drive. Officers responding to Dresden Drive encountered a 46-year-old male victim who sustained multiple gunshot wounds and began life saving measures. The victim was later transported to a local trauma center for treatment of his wounds.
Officers responding to the initial shots fired call, encountered a 29-year-old male who advised them he was involved in a shooting nearby. Officers detained the male for further questioning by investigators. The initial investigation has revealed the victim and shooter were involved in a “road rage” incident which led to the victim being shot multiple times. Investigators have arrested and charged the 29-year-old from Savannah Georgia with Aggravated Assault. The shooter is currently being detained at the Dekalb County Detention Center.
