Patrick Nalley, Brookhaven’s new Parks and Recreation Director, acknowledges that the 2023 pool season has been wrought with challenges.

“It’s been a tough year. There has been a sharp learning curve for the new Lynwood Park Pool, there were several equipment issues at Murphey Candler Pool to age and high use, and then we had a broken glass incident at Briarwood Pool which sidelined us for several days,” said Nalley. “Lifeguard staffing was also a difficult challenge not only here in Brookhaven, but all over the United States.  These challenges are all surmountable and we are rolling up our sleeves on that right now to be ready for the 2024 pool season.”

Daily admission to the pools is $3 per child (2-17); $5 per adult (18-54) and $1 for seniors (55+). There is a $2 per person charge with groups of 20 or more. Payment for general daily admission can be made by cash or credit card at the pool.
