Brookhaven pools to open earlier three days each week FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Brookhaven, GA, June 12, 2018 – In response to multiple requests from residents, the Brookhaven City Council voted unanimously to extend the opening hours at all three municipal pools by two hours for three days a week throughout the rest of the summer season. Beginning Wednesday, June 20, Briarwood, Lynwood and Murphey Candler pools will open weekly at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. |

Brookhaven hosts successful events during Georgia Cities Week The City of Brookhaven participated in Georgia’s Cities Week, a statewide campaign by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) to bring awareness about local government. Georgia’s Cities Week was April 22-28, with the theme “Georgia's Cities: In the Spotlight!” Five different activities took place during this week. On Sunday, April 22, Brookhaven was one of the sponsors responsible for bringing renowned international flautist, Elena Durán to Brookhaven.
