Brookhaven Police Department announces Fall 2018 Citizen’s Police Academy FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Brookhaven, GA, Aug. 31, 2018 – Applications are now open for the Fall 2018 edition of the Brookhaven Citizen’s Police Academy. The event takes place at Murphey Candler pool on Sunday, Sept. 9. Small dogs up to 35 pounds will be let in the pool from 1 to 2:30 p.m., while larger dogs weighing more than 35 pounds can jump in from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per dog. |

Brookhaven to enforce alcohol provisions at adult club FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Brookhaven, GA, Aug. 1, 2018 – Based upon a July 26 ruling in federal court, the City of Brookhaven will be enforcing the provisions of its alcohol ordinance at the Pink Pony, 1837 Corporate Blvd NE, in Brookhaven. The adult establishment has been operating under a settlement agreement since 2014. Under the terms of that agreement, which expires in 2019, the Pink Pony pays the City of Brookhaven $225,000 annually, and could remain open until 4 a.m. |
