Residents can view active cases and permits online via Brookhaven’s Project Portal Viewer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brookhaven, GA, Oct. 25, 2018 – Visitors to Brookhaven’s website can now view active code enforcement cases and permits online.

The City’s Project Portal Viewer offers an interactive map where viewers can toggle on and off tree, building, and land disturbance permits issued within the last 30 days, as well as active code enforcement and zoning/variance cases.

“This allows residents an overview of what’s going on in the City,” said Chris Saxon, Brookhaven’s GIS Manager. “For example, if a resident is concerned about a possible code violation, they can go to our website and determine if a case has already been opened.”

The Project Portal Viewer is the City’s next step in offering online services to residents. In May, Brookhaven launched Project Portal, an online portal for electronic applications, plan submittals, payments, scheduling inspections, and project status. Through the City’s GIS program, the Project Portal Viewer automatically integrates this information into the interactive map.

The Project Portal Viewer can be found at www.brookhavenga.gov/commdev/page/project-portal-viewer.
