Annual Data Summary
Each year, the Brookhaven Police Department conducts various statistical reports evaluate encounters and ensure unbiased policing. These reports include analyzing arrest data, citation data, use of force data, and complaint data. The data assessment involves searching for patterns and trends, as well comparing BPD data to FBI statistical reports, especially those related to violent crime instances and offender information. In addition, BPD at least annually compares the demographic makeup of our Department against the demographics of our residents.
