DeKalb County to Announce New Emergency Medical Services Hub in Brookhaven

DECATUR, Ga.– On Wednesday, March 4, at 11 a.m., officials from DeKalb County, the City of Brookhaven and American Medical Response (AMR) will discuss the new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) hub on Buford Highway.

 The hub provides a local station where EMS personnel can change shifts and keep the ambulances closer to their service area in north DeKalb County and includes:

  • A training room for programs and community education offerings
  • A deployment center for six new ambulances
  • An AMR on-duty supervisor, who will be stationed out of the Brookhaven hub.
