City Council wrap-up for the Nov. 9 virtual meeting
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Brookhaven, GA, Nov. 10, 2021 – The Brookhaven City Council acted on several items in its Nov. 9 business meeting, held via video conference, with public input offered through email and by online comments on Zoom. The action items are as follows:
- The Mayor and Council held a special recognition of Brookhaven Girl Scouts who earned the Silver Award.
- The Mayor and Council approved the of trustees Chris Alto and Rich Levy to the Brookhaven Convention and Visitors Bureau.
- The Mayor and Council unanimously approved a consent agenda which included:
- The minutes of the Oct. 26 virtual Work Session and Regular Meeting.
- The extension of the PTO maximum carryover hours from 400 to 440 through calendar year 2022.
- Approval of the Mayor and Council 2022 regularly scheduled meetings.
- The Mayor and Council received a presentation and held a public hearing of the proposed FY 2022 Budget. No action was taken at this meeting. The next public hearing will be on Nov. 30
- The Council unanimously approved an agreement with Woodwind Construction Company Inc. for the Murphey Candler Park Pool parking lot project in the amount of $629,380.
