City Council wrap-up for the March 12 meeting

Brookhaven, GA, Mach 14, 2024 – The Brookhaven City Council acted on several items in its March 12 meeting:

  • The Mayor and Council held a public hearing and subsequently approved a resolution amending Brookhaven’s Urban Redevelopment Agency Plan.
  • The Council approved consent agenda which includes:
    • The minutes of the Feb. 27, 2024, Work Session and Regular Meeting.
  • The Council approved an ordinance to amend the 2023 Budget to appropriate final budget-to-actual variance adjustments to the FY2023 Budget.
     
  • The Council deferred a contract with Moffatt & Nichol for $1,949,485 for design services for PI# 0017808 Peachtree Creek Greenway Phase III.

The Urban Redevelopment Agency (URA) also conducted their meeting on March 12, and acted on the following:

  • The URA approved the re-allocation of $400,000 from the City Centre art budget to fund sidewalks on Chantilly Dr and Osborne Rd in Lynwood Park.
  • Two no cost change orders were approved for the City Centre project.
