City Council wrap-up for the April 9 meeting

Brookhaven, GA, April 11, 2024 – The Brookhaven City Council acted on several items in its April 9 meeting:

  • The Council approved consent agenda which includes:
    • The minutes of the March 12, 2024, Work Session and Regular Meeting.
    • A contract to Kimley-Horn and Assoc. 2023 MARTA Planning & Coordination Services Agreement in the amount of $200,000
    • Authorization for staff to submit the GDOT Non-Discrimination Agreement for Locally Administered Projects (LAP) recertification and compliance.
    • An application to the ARC for an administrative modification to the Georgia Department of Transportation Buford Highway Safety Improvements Project.
    • A resolution ratifying issuance of purchase orders for emergency stabilization, repairs, and rehabilitation of a sinkhole caused by the failure of a corrugated metal pipe near 3827 Ashford Trail.
  • The Mayor and Council presented a proclamation recognizing Brookhaven Odyssey of the Mind teams.
     
  • The Council approved a resolution to cancel RFQ21-110.
     
  • The Council approved a resolution to cancel the project framework agreement for Project # 0017808.
     
  • The Council approved an ordinance to amend the 2024 Capital Improvement Program Fund to unappropriate $1,280,000 for grant proceeds for engineering and design services for the Peachtree Creek Greenway Phase III Project, and committing to local funding of the project.
  • The Council approved an application to the ARC for an administrative modification to the Georgia Department of Transportation Buford Highway Safety Improvements Project.
