City Council business meeting on Oct. 25

Brookhaven, GA, Oct. 24, 2022 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m., at Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road NE, in Brookhaven. While the meeting will be held in person, the public can participate in public hearings and public comment remotely via Zoom video conference.

Residents can submit public input by any of the following options:

A live stream of the meeting can be viewed on the City’s website at www.BrookhavenGA.gov (under the City Hall tab, go to “Agendas and Minutes”).

The business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

  • A recognition of the Murphey Candler Marlins and Briarwood Barracudas swim team members that competed at the local, district and state meet levels.
     
  • A public hearing and consideration of a rezoning ordinance by Dennis J. Webb to rezone properties at 3086, 3074, & 3086 Osborne Road from RS-75 (Single-Dwelling Detached) and RS-100 (Single-Dwelling Detached) to RS-75 (Single-Dwelling Detached) to allow a combination plat; and a Special Land Use Permit to allow development of a school recreational facility.
  • A public comment availability.
  • A consent agenda which includes:
     
    • The minutes of the Oct. 11 Work Session and Regular Meeting.
       
    • A resolution to adopt the holiday schedule and normal business hours for City operations and City employees for calendar year 2023.
  • The Proposed FY 2023 Budget distribution to Mayor and Council by the City Manager.
  • An ordinance to amend Chapter 14 , Land Development and Subdivisions, Article III, Tree Preservation and Maintenance- TA22-03 Tree Ordinance update.
  • A right-of-way abandonment at 1707 Lynmoor Drive and 1623 North Druid Hills Road.
  • A task order under the On-Call Engineering Services contract to Heath & Lineback for $113,760 for sidewalk design along Chantilly Drive, SSD Project #6.
  • A change order for $168,419 to CPL for additional engineering services for the Ashford Dunwoody Rd / Windsor Pkwy Intersection Improvement Project.
  • A change order of $12,749 to CMES, Inc. for the Ashford Dunwoody Rd./Dresden Dr. ITS Expansion Project.
