City Council business meeting on Nov. 14

Brookhaven, GA, Nov. 13, 2023 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m., at Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road NE, in Brookhaven. While the meeting will be held in person, the public can participate in public hearings and public comment remotely via Zoom video conference.

Residents can submit public input by any of the following options:

A live stream of the meeting can be viewed on the City’s website at www.BrookhavenGA.gov (under the City Hall tab, go to “Agendas and Minutes”).

The business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

  • A public hearing for the FY2024 recommended budget.  No action will be taken at this meeting.  A second public hear will be held on Nov. 28 before adoption. 
  • A consent agenda which includes:
    • The minutes of the Oct. 24, 2023, Work Session and Regular Meeting.
    • The agreement for bundled AXON accounts for Brookhaven Police.

 

  • Change order #2 for Ashford Dunwoody MUP PH II for $93,515 to Michael Baker International.
  • A change order to Stormwater Rehabilitation Project on Shady Valley Dr. for $8,301 to Response Environmental & Site Services, LLC.
  • A change order for Freese & Nichols for $27,660 for professional services for the North Fork Nancy Creek Stream Restoration Project above Murphy Candler Lake.
  • A contract with Charles Abbott Associates Inc. for permit & code enforcement services in the amount of $1,552,800.
  • AED equipment for Public Safety in the amount of $98,000.
