City Council business meeting on Jan. 24

Brookhaven, GA, Jan. 23, 2023 -  The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m., at Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road NE, in Brookhaven. While the meeting will be held in person, the public can participate in public hearings and public comment remotely via Zoom video conference.

Residents can submit public input by any of the following options:

A live stream of the meeting can be viewed on the City’s website at www.BrookhavenGA.gov (under the City Hall tab, go to “Agendas and Minutes”).

The business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

  • A public hearing and consideration of a rezoning ordinance by Tellus Partners at 3 Corporate Blvd. to Rezone the Subject Property from M (Industrial) to O-I (Office-Institution) with concurrent variances; Special Land Use Permit to allow four-plus household living; and a Special Land Use Permit to increase building height.
     
  • A public hearing and consideration of a rezoning by LUV Car Wash Southeast, LLC at 2695 Buford Highway and 2024 North Druid Hills Road from C-2 (General Commercial) and M (Industrial) to C-2 (General Commercial) with concurrent variances conditional to allow a combination plat and modifications to a car wash.
  • A public hearing and consideration of an ordinance to amend Chapter 27, Zoning, Articles VII and XIII, Parking & Access and Terminology & Measurements, of the Code of the City of Brookhaven.
     
  • An ordinance to amend the 2023 General Fund Budget Fund Budget to transfer the maintenance positions presented in "Exhibit A" from the Parks & Recreation Department to the Facility Services Department.
  • A consent agenda which includes:
     
    • The minutes of the Jan. 10. 2023, Work Session and Regular Meetings.
    • Approval to retire a Glock 45 pistol to Chief Emeritus Gary Yandura.
       
    • Approval of an agreement with C3 Leadership for leadership development services for the Brookhaven Police Department
       
    • Approval of right of way entry to parcels 3 and 5 with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Project P 0016054.
