City Council business meeting on Feb. 28

Brookhaven, GA, Feb 27, 2023 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m., at Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road NE, in Brookhaven. While the meeting will be held in person, the public can participate in public hearings and public comment remotely via Zoom video conference.

Residents can submit public input by any of the following options:

A live stream of the meeting can be viewed on the City’s website at www.BrookhavenGA.gov (under the City Hall tab, go to “Agendas and Minutes”).

The business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

  • The public hearing and consideration of a rezoning ordinance at 3 Corporate Boulevard by Tellus Partners, LLC to rezone the property from M (Industrial) to O-I (Office-Institution) with concurrent variances; a Special Land Use Permit to allow four-plus households; and a Special Land Use Permit to increase building height.
     
  • The public hearing and consideration of a rezoning ordinance at 1348 Windsor Parkway, 3147 & 3153 Osborne Road, and 1153 Victoria Street by Structure Properties, LLC to rezone the properties from C-1 (Local Commercial) and RS-75 (Single Dwelling Detached) to NS (Neighborhood Shopping) with concurrent variances to allow a neighborhood scale commercial development.
     
  • The public hearing and consideration of a rezoning ordinance to amend Chapter 27 Zoning Ordinance (Audit), of the Code of the City of Brookhaven.
     
  • The appointment of Susan Sim Oh to the Brookhaven Convention and Visitors Bureau (Explore Brookhaven).
     
  • A consent agenda which includes:
     
    • The minutes of the Feb. 15. 2023, Work Session and Regular Meetings.
    • Approval of the Top End Transit Committee trails agreement amendment.
  • An ordinance to amend Chapter 16, Nuisances, Article V - Multifamily Rental Housing, Sec. 16-9.
  • A resolution revising the purchasing policy to increase the purchasing authority of the City Manager.
