City Council business meeting on Aug. 9

Brookhaven, GA, Aug 8, 2022 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, Aug 9, at 7 p.m., at Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road NE, in Brookhaven. While the meeting will be held in person, the public can participate in public hearings and public comment remotely via Zoom video conference.

Residents can submit public input by any of the following options:

A live stream of the meeting can be viewed on the City’s website at www.BrookhavenGA.gov (under the City Hall tab, go to “Agendas and Minutes”).

The business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

  • A public comment availability.
  • A consent agenda which includes:
    • The minutes of the July 26 Work Session and Regular Meeting.
    • A change order for Woodwind Construction for additional equipment to lower Murphey Candler Lake level in the amount of $100,838.
    • A speed permit LOR for the City of Brookhaven.
  • A resolution for the adoption of the City Centre Master Plan.
     
  •  Adoption of the Brookhaven 2021 CDBG Action Plan.
     
  • A public comment availability for the Special Services District. 
     
  • An ordinance to amend the 2022 Confiscated Assets Fund Budget, appropriating $43,840 from the Confiscated Assets Fund Reserve Balance for the purchase of drone equipment.
  • A task order to Heath & Lineback for $350,000 for the design of a replacement bridge on W. Nancy Creek Drive over the tributary to Nancy Creek.
  • A memorandum of understanding with LifeLine Animal Project for the sponsorship of pets for all Brookhaven residents and City employees.
