Murphey Candler Park Update Winter 2019-20

Murphey Candler Park Community Center Public Involvement

The City kicked off its Murphey Candler Park Community Center Design Public Involvement Plan with a pop-up event at Light Up Brookhaven in early December 2019. Residents got the opportunity to “trim the tree” with ornaments reflecting amenities and programs they would like to see make up the Community Center. A second pop-up event was held at the end of February 2020 at the Cowart Family YMCA. Look for future pop-up opportunities and the chance to make your voice heard at other Brookhaven events.

As part of the public involvement effort, a community survey was available between December 2019 - March 2020. Feedback from the survey, pop-up events, and a future open house will be taken into account for the community center design.
