City of Brookhaven facilities serving as Toys for Tots donation sites

Brookhaven, GA, Nov. 29, 2017 – Residents can drop off donations for Toys for Tots through Dec. 15 at City of Brookhaven facilities, including City Hall, Lynwood and Briarwood recreation centers. The Brookhaven Police Department will be receiving toys through Dec. 9.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any of the four facilities between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Donations will also be accepted during:

Light Up Brookhaven event on Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road. Light Up Brookhaven will include the presence of two Marines who will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots.

The Red and White Ball (date TBA) at Lynwood Park Gym, 3360 Osborne Park. To RSVP for this event, call 404-637-0726.

The following are guidelines from Toys for Tots:

• We need new and unwrapped toys appropriate for boys and girls from newborn to 12 years old.

• We always run short of toys for ages 0 to 2 and 10 and older. Suggested toys for the older children include makeup kits, hair dryers, watches, colognes, perfumes, basketballs, footballs and other sporting equipment.

• Bicycles are always in very high demand and our supplies never meet this demand. Please keep in mind that we cannot distribute a bicycle without a helmet.

  • Briarwood Recreation Center, 2235 Briarwood Way
