The City and stakeholders, along with Sustainable Water Planning and Engineering, have developed the Nancy Creek Watershed Improvement Plan.
The Plan documents current watershed conditions based on field investigations and computer model analysis. The model was also used to predict future watershed conditions and evaluate the identified improvement projects. The result is a prioritized list of 43 recommended watershed improvement projects and additional recommended study areas. These improvement projects include new stormwater best management practices (BMPs) to collect and treat stormwater, stream restoration, and projects specific to City-owned Murphey Candler Lake. Input from the stakeholders group and from the public during the four public meetings guided the development of the projects and the draft plan.
