Blackburn Park Master Plan Rendering

About: Located in the heart of Brookhaven, this 51-acre park features baseball fields and tennis courts along with a community garden.  It is located between Ashford Dunwoody and Johnson Ferry Road near various businesses and shopping areas.  Its ease of access location makes it a nice place to take a leisurely walk or have a spontaneous afternoon picnic. In addition to the aforementioned amenities, Blackburn Park features greenspace, a mixed-use field, walking path, picnic shelter, playground, tennis court, trail, and restrooms.

Fun fact about Blackburn Park:  The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival is also held here in March along with various other fun activities for people of all ages throughout the year.  

The parks bond funding does not include all projects identified in the park master plan. Additional improvements will be funded at a later date to complete the master plan.

Parking Lot Improvements

A contract for $879,000.00 was awarded to Lovvorn Construction at the April 14, 2020 City Council meeting for the parking lot improvements in Blackburn Park.

The project is planned for completion by mid-October. Visitors may experience minor traffic delays within the park. Please pay close attention to maintain safety.
