Volunteers needed for 2018 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brookhaven, GA, Feb. 21, 2018 – Volunteers are needed for the 2018 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, taking place Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25, at Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road.

“We couldn’t host this festival without the help of our dedicated volunteers,” said Mayor John Ernst. “This opportunity gives community members a chance to go behind the scenes of the City’s marquee event, and since we are offering short shifts, volunteers will also have plenty of time to enjoy everything the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival has to offer.”

Volunteer opportunities include artist setup, breakdown and hospitality suite and 5K duties. Shifts range from two to four hours. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Click here to register to volunteer: http://splashfestivals.ivolunteer.com/brookhaven#2.

The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom festival is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 25. This year, the festival will feature an all-star music line-up, premiere a food court sitting area providing guests with a 360-degree view of the stage, Kidz Zone and dog show area.  The car show will be returning on Saturday, March 24, and the 5K benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and presented by Oglethorpe University takes place on Sunday, March 25.
