Registration open for 2023 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom 5K

Race is certified Peachtree Road Race qualifier, fundraiser for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Brookhaven, GA, Jan. 11, 2023 – Registration is now open for the 2023 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival 5K, taking place Saturday, March 18, at 8:30 a.m. at Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road. This year’s 5K, which is both USATF-certified for 2023 Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifying and a fundraiser for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, will take runners through Brookhaven’s Blackburn Park.

“This race is a perfect opportunity to show your support for our partners at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and get your best time for the 2023 Peachtree,” said Brookhaven Mayor John Ernst.

“I invite all ages and skill levels to enjoy a run or even a walk or stroll through beautiful Blackburn Park for a great cause,” said Brookhaven District 1 Councilwoman Linley Jones.

REGISTRATION FEE - $30 for individuals. All proceeds go to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation.

TEAM REGISTRATION NOW LIVE:  New for 2023! Runners can create a team of 10 or more and each member will receive a reduced registration fee of $25

 RACE SCHEDULE:

March 12 at midnight: Online registration closes.  All registrations before the deadline are guaranteed a race t-shirt.

March 16-17, noon-7 p.m.: Packet pickup and in-person registration at Lynwood Recreation Center, 3360 Osborne Road NE, in Brookhaven.

March 18 race day:

7-8:15 a.m.: Race-day registration and packet pickup.  T-shirts available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

8:30 a.m.: 5K race start

The race takes place a week before the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, which is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, March 25 and 26.
