Michael Lee Johnson named Brookhaven’s Economic Development Director

Brookhaven, GA, Oct. 26, 2022 –Brookhaven is proud to announce that Michael Lee Johnson is now on board as the City’s Economic Development Director.

“This is an exciting opportunity as Brookhaven has a strategic location in the region, a highly educated and motivated workforce, access to transit-oriented development opportunities and innovative leadership that is laser-focused on success,” said Johnson.  “The future is bright in Brookhaven!”

Johnson was formerly the Business and Expansion Program Manager at the Atlanta Development Authority focusing on the retention and expansion of small, commercial, office and industrial businesses; research and data analysis.  Prior to that, Johnson was the Director of Business Development at the Urban Development Corporation Jamaica.

“Michael Johnson brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table as it pertains to the full spectrum of Economic Development,” said City Manager Christian Sigman. “Whether it’s an international conglomerate or a small mom and pop enterprise, Michael is dedicated to the success of our present and future business stakeholders.”
