City Council business meeting on Sept. 26

Brookhaven, GA, Sept. 25, 2023 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m., at Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road NE, in Brookhaven. While the meeting will be held in person, the public can participate in public hearings and public comment remotely via Zoom video conference.

Residents can submit public input by any of the following options:

A live stream of the meeting can be viewed on the City’s website at www.BrookhavenGA.gov (under the City Hall tab, go to “Agendas and Minutes”).

The business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

  • A public hearing on the consolidated annual performance review of the 2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
  • A public hearing and consideration of a rezoning at 3090 Hermance Drive to rezone the property from RS-75 (Single-Dwelling Detached 10,000 Sq. Ft.) to RS-50 (Single-Dwelling Detached 6,000 Sq. Ft.) with concurrent variances.
  • A consent agenda which includes:
    • The minutes of the Sept. 12, 2023, Work Session and Regular Meeting.
    • The minutes of the Sept. 18, 2023, Special Called Meeting.
  • An announcement of upcoming budget dates - presented to Council and available to the public Nov. 8, 2023, first public hearing Nov. 14, 2023, and second public hearing and adoption Nov. 28, 2023.
     
  • Approval of the consolidated annual performance report of the 2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
  • Approval of the 2022 consolidated annual performance evaluation review.
  • A resolution to transmit water efficiency code requirements to the Department of Community Affairs for review.
  • An ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of Brookhaven, Chapter 14, Land Development and Subdivisions, Article III, Tree Preservation, Management, and Maintenance.
