City Council business meeting on April 11

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brookhaven, GA, April 11, 2023 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, April 11, at 7 p.m., at Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road NE, in Brookhaven. While the meeting will be held in person, the public can participate in public hearings and public comment remotely via Zoom video conference.

Residents can submit public input by any of the following options:

A live stream of the meeting can be viewed on the City’s website at www.BrookhavenGA.gov (under the City Hall tab, go to “Agendas and Minutes”).

The business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

  • A proclamation in recognition of the Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church’s 100th year anniversary in City of Brookhaven
  • A consent agenda which includes:
    • The minutes of the March 28, 2023, Work Session and Regular Meeting
    • Authorizing staff to submit the GDOT Non-Discrimination Agreement for Locally Administered Projects (LAP) Recertification and Compliance
       
  • A resolution appointing DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections to conduct the City of Brookhaven 2023 General Municipal Election for the offices of Mayor and Councilmembers of Districts 1 and 3
     
  • An ordinance to amend the Vehicle Replacement Fund Budget for Fiscal Year 2023 appropriating $98,000 from the Vehicle Replacement Fund Reserve Balance to the Vehicle Replacement Fund Vehicle Expenditure Account for the purchase of two Dodge Ram 1500 Vehicles for the Facilities Department
     
  • An ordinance to amend the SPLOST Fund Budget for Fiscal Year 2023 appropriating an amount of $267,000 from the SPLOST Fund Unassigned Fund Balance for an increase in fees to the Lowe Engineers agreement
     
  • Approval of On-Call Contractor Demand Services Contract (Autaco Development, LLC, Response Environmental & Site Services, LLC, and the Corbett Group, LLC)
     
  • Approval to award C. W. Matthews a Contract for $4,383,169.80 for the repaving of Johnson Ferry Road
