Hoppin’ down the (Brookhaven) Bunny Trail

Easter Bunny making a “socially distant” appearance
The Easter Bunny will be accompanied by a line of Brookhaven Police cars with lights flashing and sirens blaring. The blocked-off parade route will begin at Lynwood Recreation Center and wind its way along City streets until finally reaching the BPD offices on Buford Highway (see complete route below). Spectators are encouraged to keep a safe distance from the parade and their neighbors as the caravan makes its way along the Bunny Trail.
“Even though we once again had to cancel all of our Easter egg hunts, we still wanted to find a way to spread Easter joy in a socially distant, safe manner,” said Brian Borden, Parks & Recreation Director.
The Parks & Rec Department is also busy this week dropping off Easter Eggs to 200 Brookhaven households who signed up and filled all slots in a matter of hours earlier this month, in addition to apartment complexes in the Buford Highway area.
