Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival 5K

Race is certified Peachtree Road Race qualifier, fundraiser for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Brookhaven, GA, Feb. 16, 2022 – Registration is now open for the 2022 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival 5K/1K, taking place Saturday, March 19, at 7:30 a.m. at Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road. This year’s 5K, which is both USATF-certified for 2022 Peachtree Road Race qualifying and a fundraiser for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, will take runners through Brookhaven’s Blackburn Park.

“This race is a perfect opportunity to show your support for our partners at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta,” said Brookhaven Mayor John Ernst.

“I invite all ages and skill levels to enjoy a run or even a walk or stroll through beautiful Blackburn Park for a great cause,” said Brookhaven District 1 Councilwoman Linley Jones.

REGISTRATION FEES
Price through race day:
$25 for adults
$20 for children 13 and under

RACE SCHEDULE
March 14 at midnight: Online registration closes
March 17-18, noon-7 p.m.: Packet pickup and in-person registration at Lynwood Recreation Center, 3360 Osborne Road NE, Brookhaven, GA 30319

March 19 race day:
6:30 a.m-7:15 a.m.: Race day registration and packet pickup
7:30 a.m.: 5K race start

The race takes place a week before the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, which is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, March 26 and 27.

All runners registered for the 2020 race have automatically had their registration transferred to the 2022 event. Those registered should check their Active.com account and registered email for more details.
