District 1 – Rebecca Chase Williams

I want to build on the success of Brookhaven, protect our property values and attract businesses that create jobs and enhance our city. I will keep taxes low, and be a good steward of the taxpayers’ money. I will build consensus and work to create a government that is open, honest and accountable to its residents. Brookhaven can be a city united by our common values and high standards, enriched by its diversity, and successful by every measure. You only get one chance to launch a city, so let’s get Brookhaven right!

District 3 - Bates Mattison

Brookhaven has been given an opportunity to create a local government that can govern more effectively than in the past, but it will be up to our city leadership to deliver on this promise. As the debate for the City of Brookhaven unfolded during the past year, I informed my friends and neighbors to the potential advantages and disadvantages of the vote, becoming more informed and involved as the process evolved. I realized the success of the “city vote” would ultimately fall upon the leadership and execution of the new mayor and city council members.

Your City Council will be instrumental in setting the vision for the City of Brookhaven. I see a Brookhaven that is safe, where friendly neighborhoods interact at thriving parks and at organized community events. I see a Brookhaven with an exceptionally responsive government, where services provided exceed expectation, and where the quality of life is improved for all residents.
