Project Description from the Georgia Department of Transportation: 

General Description: The GDOT PI 00 10326 consists of approximately 1.38 miles of concrete sidewalk including curb cut ramps, ADA compliant driveways, and crosswalks along the Peachtree Road corridor from North Druid Hills Road to Ashford Dunwoody Road. The existing sidewalk along the west side corridor is to be removed and replaced. Minimal work including spot specific sidewalk and wheel chair ramps and landscaping is proposed along the east side. The proposed sidewalk has a nominal width of 8 feet with a 6-foot sidewalk width proposed in areas with narrower existing right-of-way. Additional improvements along the project corridor includes landscaping sh·ips, decorative brick paver strips, benches, trash receptacles, bus shelters, and pedestrian/street lighting. In addition, minor intersection improvements are proposed as well. This project is in the early development phase, so the fi nal alignment, connection points, and project length are yet to be established (see Project Location Map below). As such, the proposed right-of-way (ROW) amounts have not yet been determined.
