Brookhaven Park’s Director Receives Patriot Award
Brookhaven, GA, May 10, 2017 – At the May 9 council meeting, Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Director Brian Borden was awarded the “Patriot Award Certificate of Appreciation” from the Office of the United States Secretary of Defense.
The Patriot Award is bestowed upon employers and supervisors who have exhibited exemplary support and accommodation to employees serving in our country’s National Guard and Reserve units.
Borden was nominated by Petty Officer Third Class Taylor Davis, the Parks and Recreation Department’s athletics coordinator; who says that Brian’s continued support of his military commitments over the past 15 months has been invaluable. “His continued support of myself, and my family, over the past year truly demonstrates the integrity and values he conveys each day.”
