Post Date:04/04/2017 3:16 PM

From Perimeter Community Improvement Districts

As you are more than aware, the I-85 collapse has impacted transportation for the entire region. The Perimeter area remains open for business, and Perimeter Connects wants to remind you we are available to help you ensure business continuity and productivity.  We sent an email containing existing resources that we recommend distributing to your employees to help overcome immediate questions they may have surrounding their options.

Moving forward, we’ll be providing you with timely resources and information to keep your business running.  To start, here are a few key programs and services to help during this time.

Key Transportation Resources for EMPLOYEES:

Our website,, is the one stop shop for critical information on the available commute options and incentives available to your employees. The Commuter Services page contains information on MARTA, Xpress bus service and ridematching. Information on shuttles that connect all Perimeter MARTA stations to area worksites can also be found here.

Key Transportation Resources for EMPLOYERS:

The Connectors Resource page includes turn-key resources and important how-to guides for key topics like Workplace Flexibility and Transit Pass Programs. While all of our topics will help address transportation challenges, those two topics would be the most immediately beneficial during a critical time like this. All of our guide walk you through program implementation and provide ready-to-use files/materials to share with your employees.

Additionally, you can download Your Field Guide for Navigating Construction, which contains information on the 1-285 at GA400 construction project. This field guide contains excellent information and tips that directly apply to programming to address the I-85 collapse as well.

We are here to help!

Our team is available to work one-on-one with organizations and human resource departments on commuter program implementation. All of the services provided by Perimeter Connects are free of charge to employers and employees.  We can work together to quickly create a program that helps your employees remode, reroute, retime and/or reduce their trips. Contact us now at if you are interested in setting up a meeting.

Be Informed. Stay Informed.

This is obviously a fast-paced and changing situation with complexities that impact more than just which roads to travel. As new details emerge and change, Perimeter Connects will keep you informed. You can expect additional timely email messages like this one from our team, but to receive the most up-to-date information employers and employees should stay in touch by liking us on Facebook and following us on Twitter.
