Brookhaven kicks off 2017 Food Truck Roundup on April 12

Brookhaven, GA, Mar. 29, 2017 – They’re back, and tastier than ever.  The popular Wednesday night community event series, the Brookhaven Food Truck Roundup, returns April 12 to Blackburn Park at 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road in Brookhaven.

“We adjusted this year’s schedule to take advantage of the good weather we have in the spring.  The trucks will take a summer break at the end of June and return on Aug. 16 and continue until the end of Oct.,” said Parks and Recreation Director Brian Borden.

Foodies can expect between 8 and10 food truck dining options, a beer and wine tent, live entertainment, and activities for children from 6-9 p.m. every Wednesday throughout the program.

The event series was first launched in 2013, and has been wildly successful throughout its first three years.

“We expect 2017 will be the best year ever for our residents at Blackburn Park,” said Borden.

“The Food Truck Roundup is a great way to spend a Wednesday evening at the park, but more importantly, it helps foster a stronger sense of community. Brookhaven residents can come out to enjoy the parks, to socialize with friends and neighbors, and to meet new people,” said Mayor John Ernst.

Limited seating will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs. Parking is free.

The Food Truck Roundup is hosted by the city in conjunction with Fork in the Road, a joint venture between food truck provider Happy Belly and the Atlanta Street Food Coalition.
