Brookhaven demos old vital records building for new park

WHAT:           The City of Brookhaven will demolish the former home of the Georgia Department of Public Health Vital Records Office to make way for a new, state-of-the-art public park.  This is the result of an agreement in 2016 with the DeKalb County Board of Education to exchange property for a new park.

                      Representatives from Georgia Power

                      Parks & Recreation Director Brian Borden

WHEN:         Monday, July 24, at 10 a.m.

WHERE:      2600 Skyland Drive in Brookhaven

Directions from I-85:

1.Take exit 91 toward US-23/GA-155/Clairmont Rd/Decatur

2.Turn toward the west onto Clairmont Rd NE/US-23 N/GA-155.

3.Continue to follow Clairmont Rd NE. for 1.48 miles

4.Turn left onto Skyland Rd NE for 0.1 miles

5.Turn left to stay on Skyland Rd NE for 0.13 miles

6.Turn right onto Skyland Dr NE for 0.13 miles
